Multiple literacies, multiple locations: we’re heavily involved in national programs

We undertake a number of special projects, run in conjunction with government, educational and scientific agencies and other organisations:

What’s your story?
e:lit in partnership with Copyright Agency Ltd (CAL) trialled a writing program for senior primary school students. The finalists’ stories are published on the What’s Your Story website along with the feedback the students received from the new and experienced authors participating in the Writers in Schools program. It is hoped that this trial will lead to a national creative writing program.

Special Forever
Special Forever is an environmental communication program that is managed by e:lit under contract to the Murray-Darling Basin Commission since 1993.

Past Projects

Writers in Schools
In partnership with Copyright Agency Ltd (CAL), e:lit has developed a training program for new authors interested in presenting author talks and workshops in schools. An e-manual has been written for authors as part of the project.

River Literacies
This collaborative Australian Research Council project was undertaken with Charles Sturt University and the University of South Australia. It investigates the literacies associated with the Special Forever program.

Teacher as Designer
This joint initiative with the Le@rning Federation and Common Ground developed downloadable integrated units of work for this site.

University Liaison Program
