CBCA National Schools Junior Judge's Project
CBCA
The Children's Book Council of Australia (CBCA) has launched the National Schools Junior Judge's Project to encourage young readers to read and assess the CBCA Book of the Year Awards shortlisted books for themselves.
Teachers who are interested can register for the program by logging in to a secure section of the CBCA website.
Once registered students guided by their teachers, are encouraged to read the Shortlisted book and, based on the judging criteria, select their Winner and two Honour books in one or more categories. The teacher can then enter the titles of the agreed books online, using their school's password. This year's online entries close 4 p.m. 16 August 2007.
The Winners and Honour Books for the CBCA Awards will be announced on Friday 17 August 2007. Schools that match the judge's winning choices will receive a prize. All participating schools will receive a Certificate. There is no cost involved.
